Speed Skating
Speed skating is a competitive form of skating on ice. It is practised on indoor or outdoor 400m ovals in which the athletes fitted with skates must cover a defined distance on the ice in the shortest possible time.

Age & Categories
The age category of the skater will be defined as the skaterโs age prior to July 1, 2024. Each skater has to compete
in her/his respective age category.
Age categories may be combined dependent upon the number of entries in each age group, but medals will be awarded
according to the registration categories.

| Age Group M/W 35 | 35 to 39 years |
| Age Group M/W 40 | 40 to 44 years |
| Age Group M/W 45 | 45 to 49 years |
| Age Group M/W 50 | 50 to 54 years |
| Age Group M/W 55 | 55 to 59 years |
| Age Group M/W 60 | 60 to 64 years |
| Age Group M/W 65 | 65 to 69 years |
| Age Group M/W 70 | 0 to 74 years |
| Age Group M/W 75 | 75 to 79 years |
| Age Group M/W 80 | 80 to 84 years |
Each participant is allowed to start at maximum of four (4) individual races. The long track competition is only a single distance competition.
Single Distances Women & Me:
– 500m
– 1000m
– 1500m
– 3000m
– 5000m
– 10000m
Quartet start may be used for all Distances and will be used for 3000, 5000 and 10000 m.

In the next edition of World Winter Master Games Lombardia 2024, will participate thousands of athletes coming from all over the world. Several sport disciplines in which over thirty will compete in exciting challenges: alpine ski, biathlon, cross country ski, curling, figure skating, hockey, nordic combined, short track, ski jumping, mountaineering ski, ski orienteering, snowboard, , snow running, snow volley and speed skating.
