Programme

Ore 15:00
The athletes participating in the competition will gather in Piazzetta Carbonera in preparation for the parade. The parade will be opened by the music of the group Ottavo Richter

Ore 16:00
Departure of the athletes’ parade, which from Piazzetta Carbonera will walk along the picturesque Via dei Palazzi from Via Romegialli, crossing the Cavour bridge and continuing along Via Longoni, Via Angelo Custode and Via Lavizzari until reaching Piazza Quadrivio, Piazza Campello and Corso Italia, ending in Piazza Garibaldi, the venue for the opening ceremony.

Opening ceremony on the Piazza Garibaldi stage and speeches by the authorities.

To follow:
– Ice skating performance by a pair of young athletes from the National Figure Skating Team: Irina Napolitano and Edoardo Comi.
– DJ set and après-ski from 6 p.m. in Piazza Garibaldi.

To allow to participate to the welcome ceremony we are organized buses from the venue as following:
For accredited  people is free for other the fare is 20 euro go and return.

Bus Schedule:

– The bus from Aprica will depart, at 12.05 from Cinema or from City Hall.
– The bus from Bormio will depart at 11:30 from Pentagono (ice rink).
– The bus from Madesimo will depart at 11:00, at the bus stop near the ice stadium.
– The bus from Chiavenna will depart at 11:45, at the bus station, near the train station and info point.
– The bus from Pellizzano will depart at 10.00 from the bus stop in front of the tourist office.
– The bus from Ponte di Legno will depart at 11.05 from Parking Cida or from the Bus Station.
– The bus from Passo Tonale will depart at 10.45 from the parking in front of Hotel Miramonti
– The bus from Vermiglio will depart at 10.25 from Hotel Vittoria.
– For Chiesa Valmalenco, public transport buses are available (please check in your hotel the timetable)

All buses will arrive in Sondrio at Via De Simoni and Lungomallero Cadorna.
Upon arrival, you can collect your accreditation.
Afterward, feel free to explore Sondrio, enjoy a walk, and have a meal or drink.

Timetable of the Welcome Ceremony

At 3 p.m. all participants should be in Piazza Carbonera to start the parade, which will end in Piazza Garibaldi, where the welcoming ceremony will begin.
The Welcome Ceremony will conclude at 5 pm, and at 6:30 pm, buses will depart for the return journey to the cities.
Upon your arrival in Sondrio, take the opportunity to explore and taste food and wine.
Athletes and the registred guests can get the bus for free, while others are required to pay in cash (as there is no card payment option on the bus).
The fare is 20 euros for a round trip or 10 euros for a one-way trip.
Registered guests are also welcome to participate in the parade.
