Description
Naturally enough snow is the key and most characteristic element of the territory, starting with the Valmalenco Bernina Ski Resort: it’s a ski area capable of satisfying all requirements. Served by the largest cable car in Europe and plenty modern chair lifts it spreads across 50 km of piste affording the possibility of practising skiing in all its variations. But Valmalenco also means mountaineering, excursions and walks within the tranquil atmosphere of meadows, woodland and mountain pastures in an environment at altitude capable of satisfying any visitor’s desire for adventure, nature and freedom.
Thanks to the recently upgraded pathways and the broad mule tracks, Valmalenco is also suitable for mountain bike lovers with routes for the expert but also a number of gentle flat stretches for everyone. And after a heady day in the mountains, enjoy life round the table with a good glass of wine and a tasty and typical dish of the Valtellina tradition.
