Biathlon
Biathlon is a sport that combines cross-country skiing with rifle shooting. Competitors ski along a cross-country trail whose distance is divided into shooting rounds. Missed shots result in extra distance or time being added to each competitor's total. The athlete who takes the least time to complete the various race distances wins.

Age & Categories
Masters competitors must have reached their 30th birthday by December 31st of the year prior to the competition year
tob e permitted to take part in the WWMG. The age at this date further defines the athletes age category. Age groups
can be combined depending on the number of entries in each age group, but medals will be awarded according of the
registration categories.
Classes Individual Competitions
Competitors are divided into separate menโs and womenโs classes based on five-yearsโ age groups

| Class W/ M35 | 35 to 39 years |
| Class W/ M40 | 40 to 44 years |
| Class W/ M45 | 45 to 49 years |
| Class W/ M50 | 50 to 54 years |
| Class W/ M55 | 55 to 59 years |
| Class W/ M60 | 60 to 64 years |
| Class W/ M65 | 65 to 69 years |
| Class W/ M70 | 70 to 74 years |
| Class W/ M75 | 75 to 79 years |
| Class W/ M80 | 80 to 84 years |
| Class W/ M85 | 85 to 89 years |
| Class W/ M90+ | 90 + years |

In the next edition of World Winter Master Games Lombardia 2024, will participate thousands of athletes coming from all over the world. Several sport disciplines in which over thirty will compete in exciting challenges: alpine ski, biathlon, cross country ski, curling, figure skating, hockey, nordic combined, short track, ski jumping, mountaineering ski, ski orienteering, snowboard, , snow running, snow volley and speed skating.
