Night skiing on the Superpanoramica

If regular skiing isn’t enough for you, or you’re busy with competitions during the day, no problem: in Aprica, you can ski at night on the longest and easiest illuminated piste in Europe! Take a covered chairlift up and then enjoy 6 kilometers of pure fun for all skiers. The Baradello Superpanoramica is a wide and easy slope with a spectacular panoramic view of the Valtellina. On dates different from regular skiing opening, the piste is also illuminated for ski mountaineers and snowshoe enthusiasts.

Gallery of Emotions in Nature

Discover the peculiarities and secrets of the mountain at different altitudes and in different seasons, right in the town, with a guided visit to the Gallery of Emotions in Nature. A unique place that showcases dioramas depicting various mountain environments, where natural elements such as small animals, plants, rocks, shrubs, and small lakes interact with realistic backgrounds painted by the artist Alcide Pancot. Homo Selvadego welcomes visitors to an atmosphere rich in emotions, exploring the habitats of different animals, a cave with impressive stalactites and stalagmites, and an alpine meadow. It’s a short and immersive journey to discover hidden worlds, enriched by the sounds of nature.

Ski Museum “Scarpù uècc”

For those who love skiing, a visit to the “Scarpù uècc” Ski Museum is a must. It offers a rich overview of the history of skiing, including the evolution of equipment and styles. The museum houses skis dating from the late 19th century, with the first rudimentary wooden prototypes, up to modern times. It’s an emotional visit because finding the very first skis used, or those with graphics you’ve loved, goes beyond discovering the evolution of this sport. Along with over 300 pairs of skis, you can admire cross-country, telemark, snowboard, jump, and kl materials, but most importantly, unique pieces that once belonged to past champions who found the Aprica Ski Museum the ideal place to preserve their memories.

Murals in the districts

Aprica is one of the “painted villages of Lombardy,” with three of the six districts making up the town adorned with over 40 thematic murals created by artist Alcide Pancot. Dive into history and traditions in the picturesque quarter of S. Maria, where you’ll find depictions of the last bear captured in Val Belviso, the construction of the first chairlift, and various scenes of rural life, from charcoal production to transhumance. Taking a few steps in two other characteristic districts of the town, you’ll admire paintings of high mountain flowers like the Comollia violet and typical Alpine animal species, such as the ibex and brown bear. Two specimens of the latter are hosted at the Alpine Eco-faunistic Observatory in Aprica.

Baradello Wild Park

Who says only kids go on swings? In Aprica, there’s a giant swing just for adults who don’t want to miss the thrill of swaying at 30 meters in height!
